RKWC COACHING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

God has entrusted RKWC to minister to the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical needs of people. Pastor Stewart has asked our dedicated ministry staff to make them themselves available to listen, pray and advise you as God leads them, according to scripture.

These sessions are referred to as Power Up ‘Coaching Sessions’ and not ‘Counseling Sessions’ due to the fact not all clergy are licensed psychologically trained practitioners. Please note our Coaching Staff is trained to listen, pray and advise you based upon the confidential information you share as they feel led by God. Our coaching staff is trained to advise you according to scripture, based upon what you share in confidence, you are faced with and how God leads them. The more detail you provide helps assure we assign the appropriate staff member for your coaching session. If your assigned coach believes your circumstances warrant the need for you to speak to a licensed practicing counselor, he or she will advise such and provide you with a list of options for you to consider and follow up with. Please note our advisors are just that, advisor's, and do not have the authority or right to tell you what to do. You retain the right to take the advice offered and allow it to be included in your decision making process or dismiss it.

The Power of 'Channeled Focus'

For believers, stilling ourselves sometimes becomes a necessity. For the strongest among, us test and trials can at times become overwhelming, especially in a Euroclydon (severe, often multiple in nature, colliding) type of storm season. There are many ways to accomplish stilling ourselves. One technique is 'channeled' focus. 'Channeled focus' is accomplished when we deliberately and intentionally focus our minds on a particular object, thought or activity. 'Channeled focus' helps us center our attention and elevates our total awareness and sensitivity in the natural and spiritual realms. 'Channeled focus' in the midst of spiritual, mental, emotion and physical challenges helps us achieve a mental clarity and emotionally calm which ushers us to a state of peace in the midst of storms. Storms will come, it is a part of life for the saved and unsaved. However, we have a choice in our enlisted methods to navigate through them. In those moments when it seems we can't feel or sense God's presence, 'channeled focus' helps us to realize He's is right there keeping us in it. Few teaches talk or answer questions in the time of testing, there silence indicates they have prepared you for the moment and are seeing what skills we use to victoriously pass the test.
